Rocky Mountain Rally 2004 (C3) - May 28th & 29th, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
A long transit, some really fast roads, a second rally with notes, and a second rally with Jason. Definately a machine over man sort of rally, as the roads were very fast. This rally introduced some small
changes to the car, namely 280mm front brakes and a conversion to 5-lug bolt pattern. New wheels and tires rounded out the changes. (more here)
Oregon Trail Pro Rally 2004 (C3/C2) - April 23rd, 24th & 25th, Hillsboro, OR
OT was the first rally after the roll over, and was a very complicated endeavor to have the car ready to go in time. But we made it, and had a blast! This was my first rally
running stage notes, and also my first rally with Jason Grahn co-driving. (more here)
Doo Wop 1 & 2 Club Rallies (C2/C2) - March 6th & 7th, Hoquiam, WA
The Doo Wop's are always called one of the best rallies in the northwest, and after running Saturday's stages (Brooklyn, Smith Creek and Pico), I (Chris) can see why. Great roads, lots of excellent racing, and
a very large entry list! For our first rally of the year, we had a wet weekend. Saturday can be summarized as 'mediocre' as we started slow and didn't really get a whole lot faster. Sunday we rolled the car
on the second stage, and that ended the race! (more here)
Mount Hood Club Rally (C2) - October 25th, 2003, Hood River, OR
Mount Hood was a smooth rally, with some really fast roads. We had some poor performance for this event, which was because of a rear disc brake conversion that wasn't really finished.
This made the car very slippy, and as we had several incidents with foliage, Chris was getting pretty nervous and slowed down a lot. All in all it was still fun (when isn't rally?) but
not our best performance ever.
Wild West International Pro Rally (C3/C3)- Sept. 5th, 6th & 7th, Olympia, WA
What a weekend! Ken and I were back for our second event. Sporting better brakes, a close-ratio gearbox, a new Odo (terratrip 303+), and some comfort amenities, we were better prepared
than ever before. The GTI rally car was really coming together as we headed out Friday morning. Because of the proximity of this event to our homes we decided not to
tow the car. (more here)
Oregon Trail Pro Rally (C2/C3)- July 12th & 13th, Hillsboro, OR
Our First Event! Oregon Trail Pro Rally 2003!!! This was a great weekend of driving on some lovely roads, with excellent weather (albiet one massive monsoon sunday morning),
and thankfully fairly trouble free for us. Sadly, the rally started on the wrong foot, as Subaru's super-stars Mark Lovell and Roger Freeman crashed shortly
into stage 1, instantly killing both competitors... (more here)
